About this invitation

Our story

It started with
a borrowed book.

A missed train gave us twenty unexpected minutes. One conversation later, neither of us wanted the next one to arrive.

Since then, we’ve filled our days with Sunday walks that become all-day adventures, ambitious dinners in a very small kitchen, and more half-finished crossword puzzles than we care to admit.

On 12 June, we’re gathering our favourite people for garden vows, one long table and an evening on the dance floor. We hope you’ll be part of this next chapter.

With love, Emma & James

A day made
to take our time.

Come for the garden ceremony. Stay for supper, stories and a very full dance floor. All times are local to our fictional venue.

  1. The garden

    Welcome drinks

Arrive, find your seat and settle in beneath the willow trees.

  2. The ceremony

    We say “I do”

A short ceremony in the walled garden, followed by confetti and photographs.

  3. The lawn

    Raise a glass

Seasonal drinks, small plates and time to catch up before dinner.

  4. The glasshouse

    A seat at our table

Dinner, warm speeches and dessert served as the evening light comes in.

  5. The orangery

    Dance with us

Our first dance, your favourite songs and a late-evening bite.

  6. The send-off

    One last song

Goodnight hugs before the sample shuttle leaves at 10:45 PM.

The setting

Meet us
at Willowmere.

An imagined country house, a walled garden and a glasshouse glowing after dark.

Willowmere House and Alder Vale are entirely fictional. There is no real address, booking link or journey to make for this demonstration.

Travel

Getting here

Our sample plan has a guest shuttle leaving Alder Vale village square at 2:30 PM. Fictional on-site parking opens at 2:45 PM, with return shuttles after the final song.

Stay

Make a weekend of it

A real invitation would link only to verified accommodation and transport. No room, fare or service can be reserved through this demonstration.

Wear

Garden-party best

Summer suits, dresses or whatever makes you feel wonderful. Block heels or flats will suit the lawn, and a light layer may help after sunset.

Good to know

A few things
you might ask.

For anything invitation-specific, the imagined couple would be happy to help.

What happens if it rains?

Our sample wet-weather plan moves the ceremony into the glasshouse. Drinks, dinner and dancing remain in their scheduled places.

Is there step-free access?

The fictional plan includes a level entrance, accessible restroom and firm garden path. A real guest guide would confirm surfaces, distances and support with the venue.

May I bring a guest?

This fictional example has no guest list or invitation service. A live invitation would explain who is invited and how additional guests are handled.

Can dietary needs be added here?

This read-only example collects no attendance or dietary information. A real event would need an approved, private process for essential meal details.

Is there a gift registry?

No registry, payment destination or commercial link is attached to this fictional wedding. The imagined couple’s only wish is a lovely day with their favourite people.

May I take photographs?

Our sample invitation asks guests to put phones away for the ceremony, then take all the joyful candid photographs they like at the reception.

A place at the table

We’d love
to have you.

An actual invitation would include a response deadline. The fictional date shown here is 15 May 2027; no response is requested or saved.
